Higher Diploma in Nursing (Enrolled Nurses-General) (HD-EN) Programme

This programme aims to provide students with the essential knowledge, skills, and clinical experience for enrollment with the Nursing Council of Hong Kong as Enrolled Nurses (General).

Financial Support: Students are eligible to apply for monthly allowance

Admission Requirements

  • HKDSE Candidates:
    Level 2 or above in 5 subjects, including Chinese Language, English Language, Mathematics and any two other subjects in Categories A and B subjects.

  • Associate Degree Candidates:
    Associate degree holders or candidates studying for an Associate Degree may be considered for admission provided that they meet the Minimal Entry Requirement for Training of Enrolled Nurses as stipulated by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong.

  • HKALE Candidates:
    • Grade E in one HKALE A-Level subject; or Grade E in two HKALE AS-Level subjects, which may include Use of English and Chinese Language and  Culture and;
    • Grade E or above in 5 Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) subjects:
      • Chinese Language at grade D/Level 3 or above
      • English Language (syllabus B) at Grade D or above, or English Language (syllabus A) at Grade B/Level 3 or above
      • Mathematics at Grade E or above;
      • Any one of the following science subjects at Grade E or above: Biology, Chemistry, Human Biology, and Physics;
      • Any one other subject at Grade E or above, which may include: Biology, Chemistry, Human Biology, Physics, Chinese Literature, Chinese History, English Literature, History, Geography, Social Studies, Economics & Public Affairs, Religious Studies, Buddhist Studies.
      • Any one of the subjects listed in (i) to (v) above must be at Grade C (or level 3 for English Language or Chinese Language) or above and;
    • Meet the Minimum Entry Requirements for Training of Enrolled Nurses as stipulated by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong.
