Department of Radiotherapy ❯ Our Equipment ❯ HexaPODTM evo RT System
The HexaPODTM evo RT System is a fully robotic system for patient positioning. Traditionally, minor adjustments of the patient positioning can only be remotely corrected along the 3 translational (X, Y and Z) axes in image-guided radiotherapy (IGRT) due to the limitation of the standard couchtop of a linear accelerator. With the HexaPODTM evo RT System, roll, pitch and yaw (rotational X, Y and Z axes) can now be corrected as well. The 6 degrees of freedom provided by the robotic couchtop allows repositioning of the patient in any direction and increased treatment accuracy.
