Department of Radiotherapy ❯ Our Equipment ❯ Leksell Stereotactic System®
The Leksell Stereotactic System® is used for very precise and minimally invasive intracranial neurosurgery. It can be used for diagnostic as well as therapeutic procedures.
The Leksell Sterotactic System® is extremely accurate, using dedicated instruments with solid fixation such as the Leksell® Coordinate Frame and Leksell® Multipurpose Stereotactic Arc. It uses X, Y, and Z coordinates to localize any point in three-dimensional space. The arc encompasses the surgical target in 3D to enable full access to any intracranial area. Rotation of the arc around the axis rods with corresponding lateral adjustments of the electrode carrier allows clinicians to use limitless trajectories and entry points, independent of the site of the target.
