New Private Rooms on 33/F - A New Hospital Experience

2009-08-03

With a total of 18 private rooms on 33/F, the Hospital promises an unprecedented hospital experience to patients and their visitors. All rooms are in full view of the breathtaking and expansive Happy Valley skyline. With sunlight streaming through the long window panes into the spacious and well-ventilated interiors, patients staying in our private rooms can recover in a relaxed environment. Each room has a two-layered curtain that deflects sunlight without interfering with the view and a comfortable waiting area is available to accommodate visitors during their visits.

Each room is equipped with high-quality amenities to ensure every hospital stay is a pleasant and enjoyable experience. Besides a 47-inch TV and DVD player for general entertainment, each bed has its own bedside monitor which provides uninterrupted and instant access to broadband internet service, multimedia entertainment and hospital information at one's fingertip.

Other room features are considered meticulously with patients in mind, e.g. stainless handrails are installed on the glass panel of the shower room and beside the lavatory to assist mobility. Within the glass-paneled shower area, patients may make an emergency call to the nursing station in the event of an emergency. For maximum privacy, a wardrobe is located behind the sliding door of the restroom to keep one's personal belongings from view. Other bedside amenities include an electronic safe, which is installed beside each bed to secure one's belongings, a built-in alarm clock, radio, adjustable lights and a nurse call system. All of them can be controlled using a supplied remote control.
